Bill Early

Bill Early was reared in the Portlock section of South Norfolk, VA by his parents, the late Joe & Margaret Early with his brother, the late Joseph A. Early, Jr. “Mickey”. He is a graduate of the 1962 Class of Oscar F. Smith High School. Mr. Early was married to Laura M. Bedsole Early for twenty-five years before her death in 1990. Bill has three children, Quinn, Beth & Tom, Jr. and four grandchildren. Mr. Early married Carolyn A. Bolt-Early in 1994. Carolyn has three sons and their families. Bill is licensed in VA as a Funeral Director, Realtor and Insurance Agent. Mr. Early was in Restaurant Management and Sales/Service for several years. Mr. Early has been in the funeral business since 2000 and has been employed with the Cremation Society of Virginia since 2005. He has an Associate of Science in Funeral Service degree from Gupton-Jones College , class of 2003, in Decatur, GA and is currently the branch manager for the cremation society. Bill and Carolyn are members of St. John Baptist Church in Virginia Beach.
 


Frances Griffin

Frances C. Griffin, was born in Norfolk and raised in Great Bridge, she is the widow of the late Tony Griffin, also of Great Bridge. Frances is a retired school teacher, having been with the Chesapeake Public School System and Mount Pleasant Mennonite School, also in Chesapeake. Frances has 5 children; Larry, Mike, Marie, Susan and Andy and 3 grandsons; Christopher, Corey and Tony. She is a family historian, proofreader, and enjoys working on genealogy. She also writes children and inspirational short stories and has had several published. She started working with Twiford’s Funeral Home in 2000.


Harry Kidd

Harry Kidd was born in Bluefield, West Virginia. He is married to Shirley, his wife of 45 years and they have three sons and eight grandchildren. Harry has been employed with the Twiford Funeral Home and the Cremation Society of Virginia for twelve years. He is a member of Wayside Baptist Church. Harry is also active in the masons, being a member of South Norfolk Masonic Lodge 339, Norfolk Scottish Rite, Kehdive Temple of Chesapeake and the Chesapeake Shrine Club. Harry is a member of Tidewater Bluegrass Music Association.

Christy Cribb

Christy Cribb, was born in Richmond, VA, and raised in Virginia Beach and Hawaii. She attended Kellam High School, Class of ‘87, but graduated in Hawaii, as part of a military family, she moved back and forth between the two states. After living most of her life here in Virginia Beach, she returned for good in 2002. She is married to Lynwood Cribb and has two teen daughters, Jessica and Michelle Sanders. Christy is our newest employee, she started with Cremation Society of Virginia, March 2009.
